“Why I Started Resilient Wildflower?”

Website In progress this is the start of my journey :)

Links will be updated with email and social links when added, for now here’s a sneak peek of what’s to come. Thank you for your patience.

For a long time, I kept my struggles hidden beneath the surface. Like tangled roots beneath the earth, they were there—shaping me, grounding me, sometimes even holding me back—but rarely seen by others.

Starting this blog feels like a small act of courage. I’m not here because I’ve figured everything out, or because my healing is complete. I’m here because healing is a journey, and journeys feel lighter when shared.

My Story in a Few Words

I’ve lived with the weight of past trauma and the ups and downs of physical and mental health struggles for a while now. Some days, it feels like I’m standing in a storm with no shelter. Other days, I can see a break in the clouds and remember that storms never last forever.

Therapy, mindfulness, and learning to listen to my own needs have become part of my recovery. It’s not easy—healing rarely is—but I’m learning that even in the hardest soil, new roots can grow.

What Healing Means to Me

Healing isn’t a straight line. Some days bring progress, others bring setbacks. But just like the seasons, change is always happening, even when we can’t see it.

For me, healing looks like:

• Taking small mindful moments in my day.

• Allowing myself to rest without guilt.

• Finding safe ways to express what I’ve carried for so long.

• Learning to trust that I am not broken—I am growing

What You’ll Find Here

This space, Resilient wildflower , is where I’ll share:

• Honest reflections on the ups and downs of recovery.

• Gentle mindfulness practices that help me cope.

• Insights from therapy and self-discovery.

• Creative ways to nurture resilience and hope.

I don’t promise perfection, but I do promise honesty.

A Note to You

If you’re here reading this, maybe you’ve also weathered storms of your own. I hope you’ll find comfort in knowing you’re not alone. Healing is messy, but it’s also possible.

Together, we can grow—like roots reaching deep into the soil, finding strength, and slowly renewing themselves.

Thank you for being here with me at the beginning of this journey.

With kindness,

And warm wishes

Pamela

My Story of Growth

Sharing my journey of healing and hope, so no one has to face their struggles alone.

I need to ask myself this question more frequently.

I’ve decided to show myself a little more grace when it comes to making mistakes. Lessons in life can only be learned if I’m willing to fail and face fear head-on. I’ve always been apprehensive about trying new things — the fear of what others might think would overwhelm me, and I was never brave enough to throw caution to the wind.

At what point in life do we decide that someone else’s opinion matters more than our own desire to enjoy life? At what point did we allow society to dictate our happiness? I’m sure we’ve all fallen down that hole at some point, where we chose caution over excitement.

We all realise that regrets will always be there — but to have regrets means we lived. Caution and fear paralyse us to the point that we cease to exist. For who are we if we dull ourselves just to make others comfortable? Who are we if we never truly allow ourselves to be free — free to express our loves, our joys, our happiness? If we don’t embrace who we are, that doesn’t seem like living to me.

So, I’ve created this website — a space for me to truly express who I am, because she is in there somewhere. This blog will be full of random days and lessons learned along the way — all the ups and downs, messy moments, and memories to cherish.

These experiences, I will share with you. Come along for the journey if you wish. If this helps even one person, then I’ll have achieved more than I could have imagined.

So buckle up — it’s going to be an adventure of emotions, milestones, creative writing, artistic expression, and the madness of a messy mind that longs for structure. I’d tell you what to expect in the coming months, but it’ll be a surprise to me too.

See you on the other side.

Over and out — from one resilient wildflower to another.
